JAY-Z has made the decision to place a large wager on the NBA Finals result.

Through Fanatics Sportsbook, the former Brooklyn Nets co-owner has placed a $1 million wager that the Oklahoma City Thunder would beat the Indiana Pacers in five games.

Jay may make over $3 million if his wager is successful.

The rap icon would need the Thunder to win four straight games to win the wager, though, since the Pacers had already won the opening game of the series.

Jay is also a partner in Fanatics Sportsbook and has a number of business partnership with founder Michael Rubin.

The Roc Nation founder is also known to host high stakes blackjack tournaments, often in the aid of the REFORM Alliance organization which he founded with Rubin.

In September 2023, JAY and Meek Mill threw quite the star-studded bash to raise money for it, and the 007-themed party drew out all the Hip Hop big guns.

Page Six reported that the blackjack party, held in Atlantic City, NJ, on September 30, 2023, drew out Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, Lala Anthony, and more. The buy-in was $100,000 per play, with all proceeds going to the criminal justice reform organization.

The night also drew out performances from Quavo and Travis Scott, and other A-listers like Derek Jeter also made an appearance.

Page Six revealed that there were 10 to 15 helicopters chauffeuring guests from New York City airports to Atlantic City throughout the night.

“It was Jay’s idea to make a really small, incredibly exclusive event with the best people in the world,” a source said. “You can’t buy your way into this party.”

Jay has also been looking to get into the casino business and has proposed opening up a gambling establishment in Times Square.

In an attempt to build a chic, boutique-style casino at the 1515 Broadway office tower—which is already owned by SL Green, the biggest commercial landlord in New York City—the Brooklyn-born millionaire teamed up with Caesars Entertainment and SL Green.

JAY-Z and his group will be in charge of the entertainment programming at 1515 Broadway as well as at SL Green’s six other Times Square buildings as part of the collaboration.

However, Jay’s longtime nemesis Nas and his business associates are vying for the license.
