My name is Keshawn Lamb better known as Soicy Keek. He was born December 21, 1998, in Long Island, NY. Soicy Keek said, “I’ve always been around music my whole life”. It started at a young age really, Keek had cousins/family rapping/managing since he was about 5 years old. The first time Soicy Keek ever recorded in the studio was 10 years old at his aunt’s house, one of his cousins used to rap. It was just like a bunch of my cousins just hopping on the track and saying some funny freestyles like beginners do to warm up but Soicy Keek was motivated to try his hardest because he felt like he knew what he was doing or knew that he can create music.

Soicy Keek was young so he wasn’t focused on being a rap artist at the time it was presented, So Soicy Keek just grew up living a regular childhood playing sports and hanging out with family and friends. Growing up Soicy Keek played basketball in high school that was his first passion to be a basketball star. Once Soicy Keek felt like that wasn’t working out, He began to start creating music in the summer of 2016. Soicy Keek dropped his first song called “Married to the game” It provided fans for Soicy Keek’s career. Soicy Keek dropped his first video one year later Soicy Keek Says “I dropped it on my senior Skip Day, for my first video it did well the video alone received 15,000k views.”

In 2019 Soicy Keek, changed his name from Jboy Keek to Soicy Keek (So icy)

The Jboy nickname was just like a neighborhood nickname but he matured from that nickname. Soicy Keek, wanted to create a new identity so he asked one of his friends to give him some ideas on what he should change his name to. Soicy Keek

& his friend were throwing out ideas, and one of the names he said was so icy. When he heard him say that it was agreeable, so Soicy Keek was like yeah that’s something that fits me.  He also said somebody else had the name “So Icy” but he wasn’t really worried about that. Soicy Keek said, “I was born on the first day of winter so I was thinking you can’t get icier than that.”

From 2019 to 2022 Soicy Keek would drop songs here and there to provide his fan base with new music to understand his stages of life’s progress.

They were providing amazing feedback. He felt like he wasn’t grinding enough to provide the feedback he deserves, so he assumed he wasn’t getting much traction during those years he managed to surpass the negativity that had him feeling that way to finally come back and impact the energy that had him down to a reversible change that caused his music and career to be better than before.

At the end of 2022, December, and the start of 2023 when Soicy Keek started taking everything more seriously. He realized the potential he had in the unreleased songs that he had that were hits, singles.. bangers. Soicy Keek just wanted to show the world what he could create. He dropped his first song motion after vanishing for a while just to let people know that he was back. He dropped a video for it and ever since he has just been in music mode, it’s like March now in 2023, Soicy Keek

Says “Even though I haven’t accomplished much and I haven’t done anything I feel like people will know my name before this year is over”.

Soicy Keek “What I have planned now is just connecting, networking, and just expanding.

Coming where I come from being a local figure is cool. It’s lit, but I’m thinking beyond that. I’m trying to be a public figure. I’m trying to be global in my life of Hip-Hop.”
