Swag Da P, an emerging hip-hop artist from East Oakland, is making waves in the music industry with his latest single “Motion Time,” featuring Aybe Proetq. The track has already accumulated over 270,000 streams across all digital service platforms, and a snippet of the song posted by Aybe Proetq on Instagram garnered 1.1 million views on the day of its release.

Taking inspiration from a blend of influences such as Too Short, James Brown, TD Jakes, and Mac Dre, Swag Da P’s music tells rockstar stories about the principles he has learned from wild living while staying in motion and remaining relevant in the ever-changing music scene. His unique sound and storytelling are brought to life by producer Jesse got Bangerz/A4gent and engineer Guap from Slap Wagon in East Oakland.

Swag Da P’s journey in the music industry began 19 years ago when he released his first public song at the age of 12 under the label TCM as Young Weezly. Now, the artist has big plans for the future, with a new music video and single titled “Hood Trophy” set to release on April 7th, followed by his first album of the year, “Tales from a P,” dropping on May 1st, 2023.
