RowStacks, formerly known as MellyRow Stackz, emerges as a prominent hip-hop artist from New York, born Jamaal M. Kennedy. His musical inclination surfaced early in life, with a passion for songwriting at the tender age of ten, progressing to recording ventures during his teenage years. The influence of his older brother, Sig Smoo, a member of the renowned hip-hop group The Hoodz (now K Davis the Hitman), played a pivotal role in inspiring RowStacks to pursue a professional music career. This journey commenced with a significant signing to the indie label, Cee-Lo Records.
A Journey Through Trials and Triumphs
RowStacks’ tenure with Cee-Lo Records was marked by notable achievements, including performances alongside rap legends like ja rule and Method Man, as well as the esteemed R&B group So for Real. Despite personal challenges that momentarily hindered his musical path, leading to his departure from the label, RowStacks persevered. During this transitional phase, he realigned his focus and eventually collaborated with Woodz Ground Entertainment. This partnership led to a significant milestone in his career — a mixtape produced in collaboration with Marko that propelled his artistic journey forward.
