Bronx-born, Kinston-raised artist pairs his genre-fluid sound with a major independent
distribution partner as “Davv-O Diary” takes shape.

Davv-O $tacks refuses to be boxed in. The artist, also known as YoursTrulyDOS, is stepping
into a new phase of his career with distribution through EMPIRE/GT Digital, a move that puts his
music in position to reach a much wider audience.

Raised between the Bronx and Kinston, North Carolina, Davv-O grew up around two very
different worlds. Kinston gave him the country side and the hood. The Bronx gave him New York
energy, confidence, and hunger. That tension runs through his catalog, which moves between
raw street emotion, melody, ambition, and bigger ideas.

“I see myself more as a music artist than just a rapper,” he says. His sound blends new-age
pop, alternative hip-hop, and melodic music, with rock influence when a record calls for it. “The
creation comes first and the genre comes after.”

Inspired by the tour vlogs of MGK, Wiz Khalifa, and Soulja Boy, Davv-O saw that being an artist
is bigger than recording songs. It’s visuals, lifestyle, performance, and connection with fans.
That vision got a real-world boost when he met country artist Koe Wetzel, who invited him
backstage and beside the stage, giving him a close look at the professional side of the industry.
He’s been building the foundation largely on his own, editing, mixing, mastering, creating
content, and handling much of the release work. The EMPIRE/GT Digital partnership gives that
independent hustle serious infrastructure behind it.

The momentum is already visible. His single “Accusing Me,” produced by Xtasane and released
November 11, 2025, captures a more personal side of his sound. Built on the feeling of being
told you’ve changed while your life moves in a new direction, the record plays like someone
defending himself while questioning the relationship at the same time. It’s emotional without
losing its edge, and it comes with an official video.

Next up is “Chemistry,” followed by the larger Davv-O Diary, a project designed to feel like
pages from his life, with each song a different entry covering relationships, anger, ambition,
confidence, and isolation. “I’m taking my time with the music so every release adds another
layer,” he says.

The goal is bigger than a few songs. Davv-O wants $tacks and DOS to become a lasting music,
creative, and lifestyle brand, a name and catalog that outlive any single moment. His advice to
other independent artists: build an identity before you chase attention, and keep releasing.
“The right time is of its essence,” he says, “but you still have to be prepared when that time
comes.”
