Florida rap is thriving right now, and unlike other regions in the country, there isn’t just one sound that’s dominating the state. Some artists are finding success with drill, some prefer melodic rap, and others are making music you can dance to. New rappers are catching fire all over Florida right now, and every corner of the state has a buzzing scene.
Demione’s musical journey starts where most Black music originates – the church. Serving as one of his first inspirations to start writing music, traces of gospel can be found throughout his soul-bearing brand of hip-hop. Most of his work to date is inspired by lived experiences, the byproduct of poverty, and being forced to live a thousand different lives in order to survive. The result is music that resounds like a confessional, a roadmap of an artist’s soul that is equal parts heartbreaking and optimistic all while keeping God first.
“In 2023 I’m planning to continue being a vessel for art with my peers and folks I admire,” Demione tells us. “I really look forward to sharing with listeners my upcoming music!” Although nothing has been officially announced yet, Demione does have a second EP or Album planned for this year. “Our plan this year is to continue to elevate our sound and our visuals as we roll out this upcoming music,” they said in a shared statement. Demione Louis’s latest album Vibes (released by Estabrook Road Records) Hits 1 Million Streams On Spotify. Since the project’s release in October 2022, fan favorites from the Album have tallied millions of streams on the music streaming platform. With the help of his artist developer and music engineer Jastin Artis, and the team at Artis Studios, they are going to look at techniques involving building up a catalog of music, collaborating with artists & music producers, and developing a music release strategy for upcoming music.
