Listen to the Exclusive Premiere of Mau P’s New Track ‘Tesla’: ‘Nobody Believed in This Song’ — but now, it’s clear the world can’t get enough.
During Mau P’s massive Coachella 2025 set, one moment stole the show: the debut of his unreleased track “Tesla.” Within hours, fan-shot clips spread like wildfire across TikTok and Instagram, turning the track into an online sensation before it was even officially out.
True to his signature style, the Dutch producer delivered a slinky, hypnotic thumper, with the cheeky lyric: “I just popped a Tesla, ain’t no need to charge.” The line is a playful nod to high-voltage energy on the dance floor — and clearly, fans felt the spark.
But according to Mau P, the road to “Tesla” wasn’t smooth.
“No one believed in this song until I played it at Coachella and it went viral,” he told Billboard. “Always trust your gut and stand on business.”
And stand on business he did. “Tesla” officially drops Friday (Aug. 8) via Insomniac Records, accompanied by exclusive video footage from Mau P’s electrifying Sahara Tent performances at Coachella, where tens of thousands danced over two unforgettable weekends.
A Big Week for Mau P
The release comes on the heels of another career milestone: the launch of his Baddest Behaviour residency at Pacha Ibiza on Wednesday (Aug. 6). The opening night featured a stacked lineup including Mita Gami and Discip, with the series set to run every Wednesday through Oct. 8. Future guests include Seth Troxler, LP Giobbi, Hot Since 82, Haai, WhoMadeWho, Jan Blomqvist, and many more.
Festival & Tour Highlights
Fans can catch Mau P at top festivals such as Creamfields, Portola, and iii Points. He’ll also headline major venues like L.A. State Historic Park and Red Rocks Amphitheater, continuing his meteoric rise in the global dance scene.
One thing’s for sure — from Ibiza to Coachella to your playlist — “Tesla” proves that trusting your instincts can turn doubt into a dance floor anthem.
