Westside Oklahoma City rap artist 2NDLIFE has been around, for sometime now. While the young rapper started out young in the streets, it was clear that he would need to seek an alternative route from the fast paced and dangerous life he knew too well.
2NDLIFE gave some insight to how he began rapping, and experiencing family loss:
“I start writing music at 16. I learned how to rap from my cousin Dale, who was murdered in
2000. So, that gave me motivation to display my talent.”
When it comes to his creative process, the Oklahoma City artist wants it to be known that he writes his songs. He is not one to freestyle for a song. He writes everything down, so he means what he says.
The new single “LO’KEY” is a catchy hard-hitting anthem track, detailing how one moves around, to make things shake. The daily lives of many aren’t always known. so 2NDLIFE is here to talk about some topics. This artist defnitely wants to contribute to the hip hop culture, and bring forth new music for the world.
