Butta Milk B: Turning Emotion Into Art, Sound and Spoken Word

By Veda Smith

Spoken word artist and multidisciplinary creative Butta Milk B. is preparing to step into a bold new chapter with the release of her highly anticipated 2026 album, CRASHOUT THERAPY, a project rooted in emotion, storytelling, self-awareness, and the freedom to express what many people struggle to say.

Describing herself as a “free spirit” and a “Renaissance woman,” Butta Milk B. brings a lifetime of artistic exploration into her work. Her creativity extends beyond spoken word into painting, drawing, and digital art, reflecting an artist whose identity is deeply connected to the act of creation. Her relationship with writing began early in life, when putting emotions on paper became a powerful way to communicate and process feelings.

Her artistic voice has also been shaped by an unconventional and multicultural upbringing. As a military child, Butta Milk B. lived in places including Japan and Singapore, experiencing different cultures and perspectives that expanded her understanding of storytelling. Combined with her family roots and decades spent in Jacksonville, Florida, those experiences helped create the unique creative lens she brings to her work.

When asked to define her sound, Butta Milk B. chose three words: melodic, descriptive, and free-flowing. Those qualities are expected to take center stage on CRASHOUT THERAPY, an album inspired primarily by intense emotion. But the project is not simply about emotional chaos. At its core, CRASHOUT THERAPY explores the challenge of understanding powerful feelings, putting them into words, and finding healthier ways to communicate before emotions take control.

The album invites listeners into conversations about hope, vulnerability, emotional awareness, and human connection. It is a project designed to make people feel seen while encouraging them to recognize that intense emotions can be processed, expressed, and transformed through honest communication.

For CRASHOUT THERAPY, Butta Milk B. has assembled a creative team that includes producer MGeezy The PhenomaDon, along with collaborators J Frost, Courtney Camero and Jasmin Scott. The result promises to merge spoken word, music, rhythm, and lyrical storytelling into a distinctive artistic experience.

Butta Milk B.’s journey has not been without challenges. She has spoken openly about navigating sexism and ageism in the entertainment industry while continuing to advocate for professionalism, creativity, and the value of experience. She also recognizes the responsibility that comes with being an artist, mother, and role model, emphasizing authenticity while striving to make a positive impact on younger generations.

With CRASHOUT THERAPY, Butta Milk B. is positioning herself for a significant moment in 2026. The release represents more than a new album, it is a statement of artistic identity and creative evolution. Her ambition is to bring the project to the attention of the music industry’s highest levels, with the hope that its artistic and cultural impact could ultimately place CRASHOUT THERAPY in the conversation for a Grammy nomination.

“My power and spoken word comes from my abilities to describe people’s thoughts and feelings in a very descriptive and playful manner,” she says.

If CRASHOUT THERAPY delivers on that promise, 2026 may mark the year that Butta Milk B.’s words move beyond the stage and into a much larger global conversation.
